Despite the warnings about false prophets, the Bible is pretty clear that we must trust revelation in our own lives, especially the revelation that "good" prophets receive.
How do we tell good prophets from bad prophets? Jesus told us "by their fruits". Good prophets actually teach us about Jesus Christ, his eternal nature as God, and his mission to save us from our sins, and call us to repent and embrace God in every aspect of our lives.
You can apply this test to virtually every preacher or pastor or pope. Listen to what they say. If they call you to repent of your sins, embrace Christ and put your hope in him, then that is good. If he is calling us away from Christ, to entrench ourselves in our sins, or to put our faith in man rather than God, well, we know who teaches that message.
In your own life, fellow believer in Christ, I am positive that you had a spiritual encounter with the divine. That's why you believe. Maybe the Bible was part of this experience. Maybe you felt it in a sermon or vicariously through someone you trust. Regardless, these experiences are worth more than all the wealth in the world. Treasure them. Write them down. Share them, freely, with your friends and family. Talk about them with your kids, and encourage your kids to get the same kind of experiences. Stop hiding your light under a bushel!
**THIS**, not all of the philosophy and logic and dead language learning to decode the Bible, will be much more effective at bringing people to Christ, the LIVING Christ, than anything else.
Search your heart, you know it is true.
ON THAT NOTE, please be aware that we Latter-day Saints have NO QUARREL with any one of you. I personally have assurance that God is working through your churches to bring people back home to him. While the Pope or some pastor or even an entire congregation or sect may stray from the gospel path laid out by the apostles and prophets, God is good enough that he can still perform his work regardless.
I STRONGLY URGE EVERYONE to become MORE active in your own church. Be more devout and more sincere and more apologetic and more evangelistic. DO NOT FEAR the world! Do not fear disagreement!
Just don't be stupid about it. Don't say stupid things that are factually false and pretend it is true. You need to actually learn something to avoid this easily avoided error -- start by actually reading the Bible please!
If we are to restore the white race, we must first replenish our spirit, the same spirit that led our ancestors to create out of a wilderness a civilization, thousands of times over for thousands of years. With new hope and faith, we will have all the strength we need to overcome today's challenges!
