There could be a future Ecumenical Council that "clarifies" Vatican II, like I do for Nostra Aetate, meaning that they intentionally interpret everything Vatican II says in light of Tradition, and completely reject the failed implementation. That's what historically happened to Councils that failed.
Is it possible and have there been any historic precedents for the Vatican to take such action?
