The necessity to evangelize jews is a puritan invention that devolved further into the outright belief in jewish supremacy we currently see in many strands of modern protestantism. It may have been a well-meaning "doctrine" of puritan belied, but the consequences of if have been disastrous. Cromwell opened up England to jews that never ended up converting like he believed would happened. This is how they grew to control the anglosphere.
