I think many people are so desensitized to the incessant nonsense from non-whites that they aren't even cognizant of things like this anymore.
Thailand has a veneer of Buddhism and conservatism and yet it's probably one of the least compatible societies with Buddhism: Thai markets sell as food spiders and all kinds of creatures of which Buddhism does not permit consuming.
Thais eat almost anything when Buddhism is stricter on dietary laws than the world's other major belief systems, because of its belief in transmigration - since humans can become flies, etc. in other lives, there is a sense in which eating them is sort of like cannibalism. For all you know, that spider could have been your own punished ancestor, that cow your own rewarded ancestor. It would obviously be immoral to eat your own ancestors.
Thus most people outside of Thailand are unironically living a more Buddhist lifestyle than Thais: at least they aren't eating spiders and flies.
Bug people who could have been bugs in past lives eating bugs who could have been bug people in past lives.
This sort of indirect cannibalism probably 'makes sense' to them because they're just as corrupt and messed up as the followers of the world's other major belief systems.
