Was 12 Angry Men subversive propaganda?

I'm watching the movie, and with the evidence presented, it's pretty obvious this slum kid murdered his father. I guess they had to make the defendant some Polack, because if he was a nigger everyone watching the movie at the time would have instantly thought guilty as well.
