this is a fun brain teaser for me, would I:

Just move? Possibly depending on where you are but if you want to stay...

Kill the dogs? I'm not that sentimental about animals. Especially if this dog attacked me (!) - I have been bitten by dogs before (not pitbulls)...

Persuade the owners to get other dogs? Another diplomatic possibility...

Get a dog or animal to harass the pitbulls back? Fight fire with fire...
