its killing the site more, but on the upside it seems to lower the amount of trolls who strive to get downvotes as much as possible

It's because MAGAs knew they couldn't post against jews on TheDonald so they'd all just downvote jewish posts. The jews didn't like this so they got rid of downvotes so jewish posts weren't downvoted.
