1. SELF IMPROVEMENT is key. YOU are the solution you were waiting for. Stop pretending someone is coming to save you.
2. BUILD YOUR FAMILY. Nothing matters if you're not having kids and raising them. This is the HIGHEST priority.
3. BUILD REAL WEALTH. Not dollars or euros or pounds or whatever. Actual wealth. Real wealth creates more wealth. It is also things that you need to build your family and improve your life. Do whatever it takes to get land. Do whatever it takes to own livestock and farm!
4. LEARN EVERYTHING ABOUT EVERYTHING. You have got to understand philosophy and science and history and everything in between. You have got to learn how to discern truth from error.
DOOM and you've already lost.
THERE IS ONLY ONE WAY FORWARD -- VICTORY!
NOW, as for me and millions of other Americans who are living in rural America -- we are doing those things right now. We don't need pessimists or doomists or anyone else telling us how to live our lives. If you want to join us, you are free to do so -- in your own country and in your own way.
AS FAR AS I CAN SEE -- Russia is your best bet right now if you're not in America already. If you can move there, it's probably the best path forward. No place is perfect, but I think you've got a better chance there than anywhere else. There is tremendous goodwill from the American people towards Russia and I don't see us getting into a war anytime soon.
If you have water down there.
Otherwise you're digging an expensive posthole.
Keep in mind you still have to pay for that water -- it takes energy to get water out of a hole.

Raise hay, store it, keep cattle or sheep. Sheep are supposed to do really well in desert climates. Look up regenerative farming and find some people doing what you are doing.
If you can grow crops do that.
Orchards might be too much investment with too little chance of success.
If you're new to farming, talk to your farming neighbors.
