This is *exactly* what "90s woke" was. Every show, movie, comic, video game had the "one good minority", be it Brown, woman, Jew or whatever. There was always someone outside the norm who was as good as everyone else, when that reality doesn't seem to ever play out.

Much more subtle be slower than the current, explicite "hate yourself, White Man" messaging that's now getting backlash, but it's all part of the same attack; get us to accept racial diversity as though we have *anything* to gain by it.
