We are called to proclaim Christ always and everywhere! That's not being "performative," which is what Matthew 6:5 is about.
"He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."
Your goal is to save souls through belief in Christ. How exactly you go about doing that isn't that important.

This is how you convince people to believe in Christ.
