Well I thought the "official narrative" was they shut Sora down because it wasn't profitable...

Code generation seems to be the top productive AI use (?) and I'd guess generating video would be the most computationally taxing use of AI hardware and... it doesn't even produce something as reusable like software.

Film companies also were nervous this could give amateurs a way to make (((Hollywood))) obsolete (and "violate" their copywritten material). That may be the ethnoreligious connection you're looking for here rather than outright offensive content being created

No AI platforms is profitable yet. The whole point is to build your own, find a niche application and become the "go-to" platform for that thing.

But as you said, (((Hollywood))) was watching themselves become obsolete every week and (((those))) who run (((Hollywood))) were losing their narratives to "antisemitic" Zoomers. "Shut it down," said rabbi. That's the reason. That's the only reason.
