I think you're right. Saturday night I went through an experience that was a learning/growth one and I had a dream when I slept. I haven't dreamed in forever.

I think a lot of people live meaningless lives they can't grow from so they don't dream.

Idk, for me dreams are almost exclusively tied to stress. I only get them when something has me seriously wound up the night before. The content of the dreams is nearly always able to be decoded as a narrative surrounding the stressor. Every once in a while they tip all the way into becoming night terrors.
