Any literature regarding what would happen if the petrodollar collapses?

Curious to know what could be the future if this were to happen since it seems more and more possible each passing day.

Gold has been plummeting on "inflation fears" so figure that one out.

I don't see the petrodollar collapsing from anything less than civil war.
