 Judas' "30 pieces of silver" were probably Tyrian Shekels which contained about 14 grams of silver, silver spot is currently $2.18 so that's $915 to betray the Son of God. So yeah that tracks.

Yeah but thats a direct comparison, maybe once you'd account for inflation, wages back then and silver debasement today it might be a lot more.... Still far to little for the betrayal but AI is telling me it would be 120 days of labour or $33,000.

the whole story about israeli IDF solider selling out iron dome info to Iran sounds like BS to be honest, because 1000$ is literally chump change and according to their own sources he was selling it before the fighting even started
