it's more like Iraq but without the 1990s US Marines and patriotism.

Trump absolutely cannot launch the same war they did in Iraq, not even close.

We absolutely crushed Iraq and Afghanistan right off the bat. Shock and awe. And then we got bogged down dealing with insurgents. Boots on the ground is a gigantic mistake in that sort of place unless we're willing to forget all the civilized rules of war and go full Genghis Khan mode.
