I know almost nothing about Japan, but it's hard to believe they could be so stupid as to go down this route. They have the example of what has happened in all European-derived nations: why do they think it will be different in Japan?

Because the Japanese are extremely law-abiding and that's all it takes to corrupt a nation from the top. There is also significant jewish interest in subverting Japan. The jew fears the samurai.
