Of course the US was part of the war before pearl harbor. They escorted merchant ships, supplied war material only to Britain, embargoed steel to japan, ect, ect.

Fair point, I should have been more specific. Proof the US was engaging in combat before Pearl Harbor.

oh yes, the flying tigers! Americans also flew for the British and Soviets before officially entering the war but I am not clear if it was an actual government program.
