At one point I would've said this was bait, but all 4chan is anymore is shills and retards so it's probably genuine

The sad, sad reality...
I can buy 1/3 lb angus patties, never frozen, at $2 (or slightly less.) I can get a nice brioche bun for about $0.40 (IIRC). Add on the toppings from the local Wal-Mart and I end up with a better burger than McDonalds can ever make. If I charge $7 for it, pay my workers 20% to put it together and serve it -- I walk away with about 50% margin to put against fixed costs and hopefully profit.
And I can literally call up my neighbor and get an entire cow at around $6/lb butchered and frozen. That's ALL the meat, including the tenderloin and prime rib roast and everything else. Half of it will go to hamburger, and that hamburger is even better than what I can buy commercially. I don't know any local bakers but I'm sure I could find one that would make me a top-quality bun for a similar price as what I get it commercially. I can probably find people with greenhouses growing all of the veggies all-year long and pay slightly higher than WalMart for them too. Literally the best burger you can possibly imagine. Again, I could probably sell that burger for $8 or $10 and walk away with $5 of margin on it.
McDonalds should not exist anymore. We should all be running our own burger restaurants that sells better food for cheaper. Hiring white kids to run the grill and such.
