Interrupting a ceremony is not an insurrection. No effort was made to rise up against or seize power from any civil authority.
At best it was small scale civil disobedience.
Why do elected officials think they have more authority than teachers themselves? Ironically this is an _actual_ non-violent insurrection.

Remember that "taking" the capitol for a day does nothing. It has zero effects. It's just optics.
