Pre-2025 4Runners are still good to go, they use a pre-Obama era EPA V6 and are the last true truck fame SUV made. They fucked up the 2025 models by adding "features" no one wanted and a shitty underpowered twin turbo 4 cylinder.
Nothing really specifically I just really like my 2015 Chevy HD pickup. It has a super basic 6.0L V8 with no cylinder deactivation or gay turbos. I can actually reach around the engine bay because it’s not the diesel (so also no DEF). All buttons on the dash. Shit really went down hill with reliability after then. For something shitted out by GM it’s actually not bad. Everything else I have is older too

They still make the part in most cases, just under a different part number. Most times a different car maker uses the same part on different models. It does take some research...
