I remember very well those years. I lived in both conservative and liberal places in the late 60s and early to mid 70s, and that kind of response depended entirely on where you lived.
I lived in San Francisco in 1973 as a teenager. I was raised as a liberal hippie, and everyone I knew was either a hippie or a degenerate liberal. You could pass out anti-White literature then and no one would bat an eye.
I also lived in conservative boondocks in Southern California, and you'd definitely get a violent reaction if you passed out commie literature.
