This is true, and I experienced it myself before this was ever a theory. My thinking became lazy. Now, I try my damnedest to only use it as a superior information gathering system compared to google etc. Its just a better search engine.

I love ai. Population zombification is needed.

My boss is obsessed with AI and uses it for everything. I refuse to use it for any projects. It’s lazy and obviously not original. Even the higher-ups use it for announcements and emails. It pisses me off.

We have tech that can filter all the reading and video filler bullshit to give us the exact answer we need

This isn't dumbing down, this is streamlining information

Say you look into a solution for a puzzle, rather than read through a dozen texts or go through a poorly edited video you get the answer immediately

Its like a calculator, you either do the math in your head or you let the machine do the work and get the results

There’s a pretty big difference between “grok give me sources so I can investigate” and “just tell me what to think about this”. I agree that it can be a helpful tool for certain research. But most people are using it for the dumbest shit imaginable.

They ask simple questions that could be answered easily if they rubbed their last two brain cells together, or they treat the clanker like a friend or even a romantic partner. And of course, AI is trained to be agreeable and tell you what you want to hear (unless you say something racist, of course), so it gives you the dopamine hit from whatever answer it gives you. It keeps you coming back for more while it collects your data and learns from you.

Plus, these data centers are tripling my electric bill. It needs to stop.

>they treat the clanker like a friend or even a romantic partner

They actually do that?! 😳

That's beyond retarded, are normies even human?

The issue is, when doing this in the area of language, you get biological prompt injection into humans like the "this isn't ____, this is ____. contrast-framing you used that has become ridiculously overused since AI chatbots used has become commonplace. Since humans think about their environment and philosophy in language, that sort of ability to influence language is not a good thing for any Independent-minded person.

Reading text damages your brain?

My interpretation is that the left shows very little brain activity, as a result of consooming “AI”, tuening it into a zombie retard. The right is someone who has a normal functioning brain.

I think it is more like cherrypick . 45% of chatgpts usage is india

Outsourcing your thinking to a chatbot damages your brain.

tell me the difference between a chatbot and an article when it's all text

This article is talking about the absolute brainlets that copy paste things into chatgpt to have it reply for them in arguments, then copy paste those replies back into comment sections or emails, or blog posts or what have you.

Also, I assume the data reflects the people who ask AI chatbots what they should do in every day circumstances ('hey chat what should I have for dinner' levels of tardery)

> the absolute brainlets

this is what I was getting at. ChatGPT doesn't make you stupider, it attracts stupid people, so stupid people use it more often. Kind of like TikTok, Weed, tattoos, or vape.

Tattoos don't make someone stupid, stupid people get tattoos.

I looked it up. This is misrepresentation. They had groups use ai, use another ai, and then not us ai to write an esay
turns out the group that didn't use the ai to write the esssay had to think more
This is so retarded to extract from it. Its like saying carpanters who don't use power tools work harder on the job
HerrBBQ on scored.co

That's... exactly the point. People who don't use AI have more active brains and therefore a more robust neural network. Carpenters who don't use power tools have bigger arms because they work harder, numbskull.
