yes. at some point being successful became more about being a grifter and scam artist and not being good at any skill or being an expert in any field. that's how we got all of these supremely mediocre humans commanding so much wealth and power.
there is nothing exceptional about these people other than their ability to mind-fuck people slightly dumber than they are or their parents were rich. they have no idea how anything works in the world.
