Anyone in any form of power didnt get there and then become corrupt. They were placed there *because* they were already corrupt. Its a blackmail/reward/leash system. You do what I tell you and I feed you your vice and nobody finds out. Win win win

Yes, but the blackmail wasn't "we expose how you diddled the children we offered to you on an industrial level", but the Charlie Kirk treatment. Aka "we own you now."

Its all the same. "We own you now, because we can destroy you at any time, but we are happy to provide you with drugs and kids and money and fame as long as you play your role and die before you talk. If you talk we will destroy everything around you."
