The famous millstone verse isn't prescriptive. He doesn't say "go drown pedophiles." He says "it would be better for a pedophile if he'd been drowned than allowed to carry out his evil deeds in the first place."

Retroactive and reflective. If you applied the same logic here that OP tries to use on the millstone verse, then Jesus should have killed Judas personally and justified it after the fact.
