The shit that the US did while empire building is exactly what's causing them to collapse now.

They wanted to be the world police, now they're bankrupting themselves over forever wars. They wanted to take the top talent of the world, now they're saddled with the dregs. They wanted to use their universally adopted dollar as leverage over other countries, now they're about to be muscled out by everyone else.

There's a reason all empires fall.
