Resistance comes in steps, from several shows of solidarity, marches, protests and so on to show the people that they're not alone. It's something which grows over time through smaller escalation events.

To Americans, there's either "peace" or all out war and no steps in between. That means no marches, no protests, no public displays of solidarity, and no escalation. It's all "We'll use our guns if we REALLY need to. Yeah, any moment now, when we REALLY need to", and that's the end of it. Everyone is afraid of anything which might lead to escalation because they're afraid of all out war with guns. That means avoiding even the smallest things like organised marches. To cope, Americans pretend they have a magic switch they can press at any time to solve all problems when they REALLY need to.

Ask yourself how many armed Americans believe that the US government was in some way responsible for 9/11 and how many of those armed Americans did a single thing about it. Look at the reactions to Charlie Kirk being killed, and all of the people wishing the same on anyone on the right. Not a single march to say "We will not be silenced" or "Leftism has gone too far". Nothing.

There's legitimately more chance of a European nation going to war with homemade swords and shields than there is of Americans ever using their guns.

Guns are meaningless.
