That said, anyone installed by the US, to force ZOGs policies upon their own country, definitely should be regarded with extreme suspicion.
If we're basing our standards off of killing x number of people from x political faction, then that's really nothing. He was like Franco, but arguably worse. He represented the worst aspects of franco's mutilation of falangism. Most Chileans aren't fond of him, either that or they do not care. But in any case, selling out to the United states, actually more than that, being put into power because of the United states, is how you know that someone is a corrupt sack of shit. The only "based right wing leader" that's existed since Hitler was Park Chung Hee, who didn't even use the American capitalist blueprint for economics but rather used the prewar Japanese blueprint, which was basically economica controlled by government supervised and supported monopolistic dynasties.
