Read something where the theory was that Venezuela was taken over to allow for Iran to be attacked. Iran can close the strait of Hormuz, significantly harming US oil supply. Now Venezuelan oil can replace it.

There's never a single reason with Jews, they like to do things that will create multiple opportunites at once.

Your theory is likely correct *but also* un-sanctioning Venezuelan oil just kicked the legs out from under the entire Canadian economy (we are now solely reliant on our unstable and over-inflated housing market to survive). It sends a message to Greenland and Iran while testing public support for moves like this. No doubt there's some kind of greasy deal with all the drug lords they *didn't* nab in Venezuela as well.
