They had the best engineers on the planet. Still do probably, but in today’s jewed system, good luck getting those White engineers in a position where they can impact the world like they used to.
What's perhaps most impressive about this are the engines.
Inventing and mass-producing a jet engine is not an easy task, but doing so without using any nickel, which wasn't available to the Reich in sufficient quantities, made the process all the more challenging.

Germans make the best stuff. I try to buy German goods as much as possible.
You can go see this at the Udvar-Hazy center at Dulles Airport. They have many things including the Dorneir 335, a Komet, and others.
