Never leave your wife's side. Check anaesthetiscs are working before painful procedures, but generally avoid interventions as they are generally bad unless they are necessary then they are life saving but they will always claim they are necessary so you need to know what is needed and when. Use [BRAIN](https://i.pinimg.com/originals/f7/66/eb/f766ebafe257491cd2524eb56a96d4fb.jpg) .
Watch Rikki Lake's The Business of Being Born documentary movie and it's sequel (More Business of Being Born).

Milk the cord toward baby before cutting if necessary.
Unless emergency (again you need to learn a real one looks like because they will say it is necessary every time) dont do the fake oxytocin shot or pulling on the cord to accelerate the placenta being birthed. Birth doesn't count as over until it's out so they want it out asap but unless youre wife is bleeding to death or it has been hours it is more risk to try and accelerate it then to just wait.
Don't vaccinate. No vitamin K shot, if you're worried about brain bleeding load your wife up with foods high in VitK for weeks prior.
Don't genitally mutilate your baby.
Weighing and measuring can wait, do the Golden Hour, baby skin to skin on mum for an hour after birth preferably dim lights and create calm atmosphere.
Unless meconium (poo) is on your baby, dont wash them for at least 1 day or until they are actually dirty. The cheese varnish they are born with is very beneficial to their skin, if it's visible you can rub it in but don't rub it off.
