Don't bother reading the 1991 novel American Psycho by Bret Easton Ellis because it wasn't very good. Very shocking and funny with the gore, but a waste of time.
That said, this scene was one of the best moments in the book, set in a fancy restaurant where Patrick Bateman's "friends" are comparing business cards.
Bateman maintains his composure, but is so enraged by his "friend's" superior business cards that, for a moment while he's pretending to smile, he goes blind, presumably because of blood pressure.
He didn't just touch the theme of losing humanity; he was able to paint the most terrifying image of alienation that I've ever come across.
But it's under the surface, that's why I said you need to be able to understand it. He expresses the alienation of the protagonist in a multitude of subtle ways, it's a book with multiple layers. I believe you really missed most of it, you miss what makes it great, a bit like people who read 1984 and think it's about surveillance cameras.
There's very little gore in that book, so you mentioning it makes me think you're getting confused with the movie.

Come on man. The Psyop is that they let it happen, not that it didn't happen. They knew and stood down. Then after they way over exaggerated the actions. Hammas hit military targets and took military hostages. The Israelis then air struck (some of) the hostage taking vehicles. And claimed all the carnage as hammas causes deaths.
Yeah fucking right. Less than a month after that shit, they had synagogues in Texas putting pairs of shoes out with “memorials” at public parks. You brainwashed morons need to turn off the Talmud-vision.

american psycho is jew bullshit. white men are better than this. in every way. this is a jew fantasy of what white men are. if you like this you are a mind-raped bitch. die.
I disagree because the dangers of consoooooooming is a huge problem in White culture, which is exactly what this community and the American Psycho film and novel is about.
In the film and the novel, the main character becomes so spiritually bankrupted by materialism and vanity, that he loses touch with humanity and starts killing people for amusement.
It appears to be a movie that is rather a criticism than intended to glorify it. If you take it as the latter, it's on you. For me it just shows the depravity of the finance sector and the corporate culture it is tied to. It shows the depravity of a person who'd fit well into that - having the mindset of a gore-murderer.
The grotesque about that scene is that stupid little cards is what makes these people euphoric, as if these are expressions of their competence. That is what matters to them so much. And these cards basically look the same, nobody except them cares - it's as if handing out nicer cards is some kind of expression of prestige, it's something that establishes some kind of hierarchy within their group.
It's a group of people who are utterly reprehensible. They are vulgar, they pursue amoral jobs, they are non-sociable, even disgusting, and the protagonist has literal gore-murder fantasies.
This is the message the movie conveys.
While the author might have intended to portray *some* Whites as such, it doesn't really track. Because it depicts a tiny minority of people, and also some of these people are jews anyway. And what, do you think you can throw in a bunch of kikes, other subhumans and even niggers, and expect the movie to succeed? You need good and attractive actors. That's why they are mostly Whites. That's a, you could say, technical limitation.
