I know its a little late, but if you've got a bird with most of the meat stripped off still in the fridge, don't throw it out! I just broke ours up and crammed it into the pressure cooker. Added a bunch of water and cooked for 3hrs. Made 3L of insanely rich broth. And I managed to recover another bowl of meat chunks as well. The broth freezes easily in plastic bags and then you can use it any time to make a quick and awesome soup.

We do this with rotisserie chickens. We pick off the meat we want for a few days and then I throw the whole bird into a stock pot FULL of water and let it simmer for hours until there's nothing but pile of loose bones left at the bottom of the pot. I run it through a strainer and I can fill at least a 32 oz. Mason jar with the chicken gravy and keep it in the fridge. I pour a little over our dogs kibble and he devours it.
