Cute story, but more than likely they just didn't think these guys smelled like or acted like their usual prey and they weren't desperately hungry to risk attacking an unusual animal. To be clear, if these guys acted like prey, by running away, or if the wolves were desperate for food, they would probably have attacked.

A stupid faggot made a video years ago about how polar bears were visiting and playing with his sled dogs. They were so friendly. Then one day the polar bears ate all the dogs. Turns out the guy had been feeding the polar bears so their immediate needs were met, hence they played with the dogs. The same is here. Wolves are an evil menace. If you believe otherwise then you're a fucking idiot who deserves the bullet too.
