Any belief in fundamental change to the status quo is considered a horseshoe-ism.

Libertarian corpo-philic child molesters, vegan weed-smoking anarchists, retarded marxist tankies, authoritarian ethno-nationalists, theocratic monarchists. They're all the same because they want something that isn't the current thing, or the current thing from a safe 30 year "conservative" inc distance.

It's like saying -1 and 1 are the same thing because they are both roots to x^2 = 1 .

If we're going to Math analogize, it's more like

>lim (1/x) x-> ∞

vs

>lim (1/x) x-> -∞

[They both approach the same point from opposite sides.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev373c7wSRg)

This post and the fallout are just misunderstandings of what horseshoe theory actually describes.

There is no horseshoe theory. It is false. -1 != 1. Fucking midwit.

You're half right. It's an observation, not a theory. I mean it's clearly illustrated in the video - far Left and far Right both want segregation, e.g., but for entirely different reasons. They arrive at the same point through different paths and priors. Your refusal (or maybe even inability) to acknowledge what is clear in front of you makes you kinda look like a Leftist tbh. You're like a climate change clinger who still sees glaciers in Glacier Park and thinks "Next year for sure, they'll be gone." Stay dumb and wrong bud I don't care.

Oh and as I said, the limits as x approaches negative infinity or infinity of 1/x is zero in either case. I wasn't equating 1 and -1 -> that's your strawman and misunderstanding. Don't put that evil on me.

/* holy kek you actually went and downvoted my history. I knew I didn't need to feel insulted from your remark, but I didn't realize just how pathetic you were.

I'll downvote you now, since you're whining about downvotes like a redditor.

All of those groups will eagerly surrender rights if they are promised their version of utopia. In the libertarian case they surrender rights to corporations. The promises don't have to be fulfilled so they end up looking like idiots.

>But ehmm you see both want to use power to achieve the vision they have for society so that makes them identical

This is unironically how they think

I thought "horseshoe theory" was the idea that on both sides there are oftentimes agreed-upon ends with different solutions? E.G. the left hate Trump because they think he's a Nazi, the right hate Trump* because he doesn't act in their interests anymore. In either scenario the conclusion is the same but the method upon which it is reached is entirely opposite.

*More than they did last week. I've seen a lot of people turning against him because he's gone mask-off.

Yes, that's one meaning of it. The other is that Nazis = communists because uuuuh, uuuh, both are authoritarian or whatever, both oppose the status quo, look how they both hate Trump (ignore the reasons) - therefore horseshoe theory.

Also we don't go into details, the abstraction only lasts as long as ignore prevails.

>Yes, that's ~~one~~ *the correct* meaning of it

This whole post is misunderstanding of horseshoe theory. It simply describes arriving at the same conclusion from different approaches, [as illustrated by this short informational video.](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev373c7wSRg)

You're correct - this whole post is a misunderstanding of what horseshoe theory actually is. You arrive at the same conclusion from different sides, [and I will post this video for the third time](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev373c7wSRg) because Ryan Long is funny as shit, and it gives an excellent illustration of the horseshoe observation (I won't even call it a "theory" anymore - it really is just an observation).

It's cope by people still stuck in the Left/Right paradigm. You know, the same people who say "socialism means the government building roads" or who accept every form of degeneracy imaginable, so long as they're allowed ten or so years to get used to it.

The fact is, there are people who believe the State should care for the people but want zero immigration, and there are people who push "social justice" but want the banks to control what is allowed to be published.

Horseshoe theory simple handwaves this reality by saying "they're all extremists".

Horseshoe theory correctly identifies that there's no difference between the typical right and left. Globalist jews vs. Zionist jews. Same difference.

Karl is just using a niche issue that also doesn't fucking matter. That's why the issue is blown out of proportion for the political establishment because it's a great distraction.

The uniparty is real. Horseshoe theory identifies the symptoms of the uniparty without truly explaining the fact that politics is all theatre and your enemies who hate you are controlling it all.

The top left side of the horseshoe are the high ideals of femininity.
The top right side of the horseshoe are the high ideals of masculinity.

The bottom is the pit of hell filled with liberal egocentrism.

And if we manage to step over the pit we win.

Centrists think that being completely unsure of everything and not holding any definite ideals outside of what is currently acceptable in the status quo is a defensible political strategy, their only real position is "please leave me alone". Which of course, they will never get left alone, because their position is right in the middle of two world-views that are mutually incompatible and must eventually destroy the other.
