None of those kids will ever amount to anything they imagine. Groups like CR, YAF and TPUSA will groom them to be their parrots, while milking them for money and telling them they're "part of the resistance to take back America from the radical Left." All of those groups quit sending me letters and emails when they noticed I never return any of the envelops they'd send me.
They literally have the "business model" of a cult. They go really hard to make you feel like part of the team, that they can hook you up with jobs in D.C. (which are all unpaid internships), and that you're going to be part of something bigger than yourself. These are tactics the Mormons use too. It's all part of their pitch for when they start asking for money. "You don't want to let down the team, do you?"
