That was then. Today terrones would oppose end masse a Mussolini like figure while today's Northeners people would get behind him. I've never met a terrone who was not a backstabber communist though I'm sure there are exceptions that would integrate well with the northern culture and ethics.

Take fascism and slap a different label on it and everyone on the planet with the exception of jews would support it enthusiastically. To be fair, the terrones voted for Meloni in the hopes of a mussolini-esque figure, like the rest of Italy did.

Fair, but north-central always votes for PD and other leftist parties themselves. Besides, five-star also used to have a syncretic nature and mixed right wing cultural policies with left-wing economic ones. At least until 2022 when they went full socdem, but 2022 was the first time the south didn't majority vote for them.
