About the topic of data transmission - humans operate on an analogue way, which provides advantages and disadvantages. When it comes to pure data transfer, digital is better. But when it comes to developing thoughts, ideas, abstractions or applying them, analogue is better. It's more fluid in a sense, as to allow creativity to alter the data, combine it with others and generate new ideas. This fluid nature of it is ideal for abstractions, it operates with them flawlessly. Using that a human mind can also make relevant decisions on any scale, something like what to eat or how to best solve the jewish question.
An LLM can give you information, but it cannot decide for you. It operates on information that has been provided to it right in the query. It doesn't ask for clarification, it doesn't ask questions, it doesn't question validity or credibility. The queries essentially convert analogue information into digital ones, and it returns an output that is converted into analogue form (human language).
A human cannot and should not operate on digital information. And the efficiency of transmission of knowledge will always be limited as to how well a person can convey his idea and the recipient's ability to comprehend.
Even if some neural link injects an image into your head, it is still subject to the process of forgetting and being obfuscated and altered over time as is common for memory. And if it's not, you're fucked without the ability to forget data - there is a LOT of irrelevant data out there, which also loses its relevance over time.
