The idea is that it would not just be faster, but also more robust. Presumably better communication leads to better understanding.

A possibility I see is that with mind-to-mind communication, we'd quickly lose our individuality. If we all thought exactly the same with all the same nuances then what differentiates us? Maybe its best that data transfer between human minds is kept low.

What so we need that level of understanding for? I can't think of a single person I would want to be linked that closely to.

I can only see this being used as an ultra-optimised way for (((them))) to beam gay porn into our brains and make us schizophrenic.
