In my experience it was always divorcees and very unpleasant hags
A few rare good teachers did exist, but they were missing a good chunk of the year because they were pregnant and had to take care of their own kids (which is a good sign)
Honestly there should heavy restrictions for teaching, i.e divorced? Lesbian? Bitter cunt? Barred from teaching
Its one of the reasons i'm pro homeschooling
