The bankers supported kerensky, not lenin. They supported kerensky a whole lot. They supported kerensky leaps and bounds more than they ever did lenin. This is a common misunderstanding. Of course, the retardation of the provisional government led to the bolsheviks, so in a way they kinda sorta gave money to them. Schiff et al did damage control later on by lobbying the US government to send a bunch of money to former russian bankers to reinstate the provisional government. I believe schiff, warburg, etc even funded the white army if memory serves me correctly.
