A particular oddity here is ‘tearing between the perforations.’ Shouldn’t that count as more work (damaging something that was not already damaged) than tearing at the perforation (damaging something already damaged)?
I should put on a prosthetic nose and go ask my nearest rabbi. Unfortunately it’s a 50 mile drive at minimum, so I doubt I care enough to do it.
