I’m torn, because I know way too many people who still use it for that quick dopamine escape from reality hit on the daily for hours regularly while never lifting, and sacrificing sleep to game more. If you’re out of shape, and have young kids, and you game more than a couple of hours a week to hook up with, and stay connected to frens in chat, you’re doing yourself, and your children a disservice IMHO.

Now if you want to game with your son when he gets old enough to play shooters or whatever, then it can become more of a regular thing as long as you, and your son/children are getting plenty of regular physical activity, and staying fit. Unfortunately this is extremely rare today in my experience. I know of someone right now that has a five foot nine year old that weighs over 200lbs right now. All he, and his dad do is play video games. It’s disgusting, and it’s child abuse.
