As a fat person, I don't like that they sugar up cranberries either; however I notice lingonberries usually aren't as saturated with sugar. Hope this helps!
Your liver regulates your blood sugar to keep it at about 5 grams. Anything more than that and your liver will see glucose as a toxin and put it in adipose tissue.
The only time I like cranberries is when you make it into a sauce and put it on your Thanksgiving turkey. Canadian Thanksgiving is this coming weekend and I'm going to the yacht club for Thanksgiving Dinner, can't wait 🦃😋
Cranberries are delicious because of the tartness! I've seen no sugar added cranberries but I'm assuming they're filled with sugar free junk. This year I'm going to try my hand at drying fresh cranberries.
