I think of this occasionally when I hear the term "two dollar hooker" which originated in the 1920s (that's literally what they got paid back then and why the US $2 bill was known as a "whore note".

$2 USD from 1920 is worth about $33 USD today.

Which makes the $5 per month onlyfans whores of today the equivalent of 30c whores by 1920s standards.

*When you were an elementary school child and the teacher asked, "What do you want to be when you grown up?", did you know back then that you wanted to be a 30c whore?*

Maybe kids would actually be able to give such an articulated answer if school didn't force a worksheet on them that gave them the impression that they could only be whatever professions that the school could find infantile clipart for
