man, the devil ain't so black. if you read anything political or controversial on wikipedia you almost (almost) deserve to be lied to, but for regular everyday things, basic non-controversial history, settled sciences and whatever else, wikipedia basically being a million encyclopedias in one accessible in one convenient webpage is a testament to the potential of the digital age, not some curse.

the fact that most people don't use it for that is something wrong with people and their cultures, not wikipedia itself. i think if the education system actually instilled enough curiousity so kids would, by themselves and for example, look up how the first steam turbine worked, we could raise the White IQ by 10 points practically overnight.

"settled science"

I hate that term. I get the overall point of your comment, though.

yeah... i get ya, but it's so sad that language is so poisoned that even we have to spend so long separating "science" from "soyence". it shouldn't be so hard to be happy that we've advanced so far and have invented such wondrous things.

I have to tell people this all the time. I'll show them something on wiki and they say oh Wikipedia is all fake. Well right here it says the sky is blue so?..

The other problem is that you don't know if the "science is settled". Do Jews have some reason to want to obfuscate how steam turbines work? If so, the article is garbage.

There's no way to tell what's true or what isn't so nobody uses it.
