I have some serious issues lads and I think it's all spawning from crippling depression. I simply can not find a purpose in life. Furthermore, I am horribly lonely. I finally managed to have a girl stick around for a few months but she left me. For those few months I felt like a real person.

I simply can't get motivated enough to pull myself from the pit. Consume Product and clean living kings turned my life around years ago but I am falling back into the abyss.

How does one cure crippling depression? God's trials are killing me.

The easiest thing you can do that won’t take any real motivation, is get at least 10 minutes of direct sunlight on as much of your body as possible each day. Start tomorrow fren. Go into your back yard, roll your shorts up, take your shirt off, and either layout for 10 on each side, or just walk around with your arms above your head for a bit. Even if you only get five minutes total the first day, it’s a step in the right direction.

With that out of the way, next you need to get your diet in check, and start some type of physical training even if it’s just walking 30 minutes a day around the neighborhood. BABY STEPS are monumental when you’re on the brink of deep depression. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.

I do all this lol. My default is most people's improvement. Sun bathing, STRICT diet, gym time and outside time. For a few years this worked to improve my mood but the high has worn off.

Sounds like you need to change up your physical routine then. I’m guessing you lift weights regularly. Maybe grab some sandbags, and/or kettlebells and start training with those for a few months to mix it up. You could also join the local volleyball/dodgeball league. If you don’t have a dog, dogs are great at taking you out of negative mindsets, and AT LEAST in my AO, the dog parks are really nice, and most of the people have been extremely based, and openly talk about pitbulls just like niggers. You might even meet you another woman there. 🤷🏼‍♂️

That's good for your body, but do you do anything useful in service of your community? Physical fitness is good as a means, but it can become masterbatory if it becomes your end.

I clean up litter almost everyday after dropping the kids at school. It can be temporarily frustrating to see so many of my neighbours are pigs, but it always gives me a sense of purpose when I finish cleaning an area, knowing that it's now better off for me, my kids, and my neighbours for my having been there.

If that's not your thing, you could clean up grafitti, plant gardens on unused land, or just ask your neighbours if they need anything. I can almost guarantee that, after a month or so, you will start meeting the people around you who actually care.

No. I think that's the problem.
