Ego and pride. It's all about *appearing* better than everyone else. That's why they get offended if you say something they perceive as disrespectful. In order to appear better, they fixate on whatever is *the thing*. Sometimes that thing has passed, but they still think it matters. Shoes were big. Starter jackets and Cadillacs were also popular.

First off, what's the issue you have with him having only two kids? I didn't realize we were running low on blacks and needed him to have more?
Secondly, It's just a collection, and some shoes can be worth a ton of money - especially vintage or special editions if they are in a mint state.
I collect old whisky, much of it so old that it would be nothing short of sacreligious to consoooom it. Granted I don't have a bedroom dedicated to the bottles but I do like the idea that someone was distilling this stuff decades before I was born, thousands of km away, and a little piece of the fruit of their labour is in my hands. I like admiring the weathered labels and thinking about how it came to be that some particular 50-60 year old bottle of scotch was not consumed.
Better that he's in that bedroom admiring his cabinets full of Nikes instead of out raping or stealing.

I somewhat agree with you, but not entirely. Even a simple common bottle of Johnny Walker Black Label when you compare the taste of a modern one to one from the 90s... the old one is super smooth and a completely different animal. It clearly demonstrates the loss of quality in consumer products we face now.
With that said, shoes - from a collector standpoint - if you were to buy and keep them for a long time could yield profit. Like whisky, which is typically bought and consumed, shoes are bought, worn, used up and tossed in the garbage making certain old models a scarcity which in turn makes it a "store of value" in a sense (even more-so if they are autographed etc). Shoes aren't my thing and we can question if the primative mind of said jogger even realizes this to begin with, but it's not the worst thing to collect. To each their own - I think golf is stupid but there's people that play it and love it...

Every pair of shoes i buy these days, even boots or premium boots, usually have glued on soles that come detached. I've had to attempt repairs on practically every pair of shoes/boots i've bought in the last 10 years. With the exception of one or two pairs of Georgia Boots that i have that stay together and seem to have premium leather and stitching. But I think even Georgia boots got sold out cuz i bought a newer pair that fell apart like one of those shit timberlands or garbage boots they sell at walmart.
You need to spend +$300/pair of shoes now for a quality pair made by White people. Maybe $400. Danners high end boots are still decent as are Chippewa, Carolina, Redwing and Thoroughgood. You have to weigh the lifespan and use of the boots versus the cost. If you're doing heavy work in caustic or abrasive environments, its probably not worth it. If you're buying them for general hiking or casual use, it's probably a good idea to spend the cash if you can swing it.

Thats probably why jews use them as middle men to steal money from whites: I would imagine a lot of welfare taken from whites at gunpoint and given to blacks ends up being spent on drugs or worthless consumables, coincidentally owned by (((you know who))).
