Sakai Katsutoki/Katsuisa (March 15, 1874 - July 6, 1940) was a Christian evangelist, a proponent of Japanese-Jewish common ancestry, an occultist, and the discoverer of the "Japanese pyramids." ~From Wikipedia.
There was also Japanese Orthodox Christian Chiune Sugihara who saved some jewish refugees and went against orders by giving jews Transit Visas when he was told not to.
There's a problem with jew worshipping among Christians.
And this "Japanese-Jewish common anscestry theory" is still being pushed today. Some israeli military people like Joseph Eidelberg also push this theory in Japan and it was even featured in Japanese media
. And its clear that its being used to try to make Japanese people supportive of jews, because unlike Westerners, the Japanese don't think jews are God's chosen people because most are not Christian.
It doesn't really work because Japan still has the most anti israel sentiment in the population out of all the first world countries. (turns out turning the Japanese in to complete pacifists after ww2, has made them hate war mongering countries like israel)
But i've still seen some Japanese who were stupid enough to believe this nonsense theory. i've even seen some bullshit books saying things like "jews built Kyoto"
They can't push the "jews are god's chosen people so you need to support them" since it won't work on a mainly Shinto-Buddhist population to whom "jews" would mean nothing to them, so instead they try to push "jews and Japanese have common anscestry"
we call them jews in these parts
