He didn’t put private business profits on a pedestal, where they’d have a higher priority than the good of his population, so a lot of modern people think Hitler was a leftist simply for that reason, that’s a retarded reason to label someone liberal or leftist. Most people wouldn’t consider the U.S. to be anything other than capitalist, yet we spend and have exponentially more socialist programs than the NSDAP ever had. Hitler’s NS system wasn’t tailored to promote laziness, his socialist programs had 3 basic purposes: To take care of those who had no ability to care for themselves. To be used as a means of employing the unemployed on major public works projects such as the Audubon, or his programs were used to promote things like homeownership, child birth and marriage, by offering special loans that could be paid off in part by having multiple children with your wife. Their system still promoted benefits for hard work, it still allowed for private property unlike Marxian socialism, with one caveat, if you used your business, or ownership of anything to harm the good of the people (like an entity such as BlackRock regularly does), the NSDAP would either take and sell off your assets, or the NSDAP would nationalize the business (or farm or whatever else) and run the business in a way that doesn’t harm the masses or the betterment of the German economy. I seriously doubt he was harassing the average German business owner just for trying to make a profit, but if your business became predatory, or harmed it’s workers just to maximize those profits, you had to be concerned that government wouldn’t tolerate it.
